Good evening all! I've returned safe and sound from my California adventures. Slightly more tan and a little jet lagged...but ready to continue this great dating experiment.
Tonight, in an attempt to postpone unpacking, I decided to check out "It's Just Lunch". This dating service meets with you and then sets you up on either lunch dates or after work drink dates. I have to tell you, I'm kind of loving this idea! I mean we've all been on a terrible date that was just dragging on...this really allows you to meet for lunch and get back to the office! 1 hour. In and out.
So, I submitted my name to get a phone "interview" with the staff at IJL. I have to admit I'm slightly nervous. Parts of the website led me to believe I may be "rejected" from the program - like I need more of that! Here was the quote from the site: "If we determine we have the type of people you are looking for and you would be a good fit with the program, we will get the process started." Here's to hoping I can charm my way in, and try some new tasty restaurants in the process!
At this point, I've taken the eHarmony "SAT - style" survey and now I'm interviewing for a chance at a date with IJL. Sometimes I wonder what I've gotten myself into...
"It's Just Lunch" thus far?...still waiting on the main course.
